The story unfolds during the cold, fog-shrouded days just before New Year’s Eve in the small Banat village of Baranda. Following the events of the main series, the core characters have settled into a peaceful, honest, and rural life. Švaba (Nikola Đuričko), Marina (Mirjana Joković), Ekser (Dragan Bjelogrlić), and Dule Pacov (Srđan Todorović) are trying to put their criminal pasts behind them.
The peace is shattered by the arrival of , an old acquaintance of Ekser and Dule from their orphanage days.
