Omega Ruby 1.4 is the definition of a maintenance update – it patches holes but doesn’t build anything new. If you still play ORAS online in 2025+, you’ll need it. Otherwise, it’s forgettable.

Resolves rare localized game-freezing events during cutscenes. Update 1
: As a mandatory online update, it ensured the game client was compatible with Nintendo's network services. These included the Player Search System (PSS), Wonder Trade, the Global Trade Station (GTS), Game Sync, and Mystery Gift redemption.
