Despite the power of these new VDM brushes, they are not a magic bullet. The primary risk is creating "asset soup"—a model that looks like a collage of pre-made parts rather than a unified organic whole. A hand sculpted entirely with VDM stamps can look stiff or generic if the artist does not go back in with standard brushes to customize the transitions. The best use of a "new" VDM brush is as a foundation or an accent, not a final render. The artist must still understand anatomy to know where to place the stamp and how to light it.
